1. PENGERTIAN
     Label adalah salah satu bagian dari produk berupa keterangan baik gambar maupun kata-kata yang berfungsi sebagai sumber informasi produk dan penjual. Label umumnya berisi informasi berupa nama atau merek produk, bahan baku, bahan tambahan komposisi, informasi gizi, tanggal kedaluwarsa, isi produk dan keterangan legalitas.
LABEL TERDIRI DARI BEBERAPA BAGIAN, YAKNI:
A. Brand of product
      Untuk dipakai sebagai identitas suatu perorangan, organisasi atau perusahaan pada barang dan jasa yang dimiliki untuk membedakan dengan produk jasa lainnya.
B. Name of product
     Tanda pengenal produk yang membedakannya dari produk lain
C. Content/Amount
     Berat suatu produk.
D. Description
      Penjelasan suatu produk mengenai jenis produk tersebut, keunggulan.
E. Ingredients
     Penjelasan suatu produk mengenai bahan-bahan yang terkandung dalam produk tersebut
F. Direction to use/dosage
     Petunjuk tentang cara pemakaian atau dosis yang telah disediakan.
G. Direction to store
     Petunjuk tentang cara menyimpan suatu produk.
H. Expiration date
     Tanggal batas maksimal produk bisa dikonsumsi.
